Chapter 5-10 Summary
These chapters were about how Johnny continued his trip onto different areas of the world. During his trip he met many people with disabilities some he could relate to right away and others it took more time for him to see how they were similar. Along the way his wife ended up leaving and he was on the road alone until his new passenger came along. Which was his sister. She had a hard time reading the map though and ended up getting them lost. But he said she was the perfect copilot. So as they continued he had met this guy named Kent. Kent was married to this girl named Amanda except their marriage was a sham. It was just so that they can get a discount off on the apartment that they were currently living in. Only the marriage wasn't even going well and it seemed as if they were getting sick of each other. In my opinion that is what happens when you marry for all the wrong reasons.

My favorite part of this section was this young blind and deaf girl. She was very different. This caught my interest because I have a family member who is blind. So I was curious as to what the author had to say about this particular person. She had many things wrong with her mainly because her mother was an alcoholic and she was born 14 weeks early. This caused so many complications. She had a tumor and then had another one developing. So she has had many surgeries. Also has had a difficult time in school. She wasn't getting the proper attention. Also to mention she was adopted. But that didn't mean anything her mother was still her mother and she loved her uncondionally. She actually adopted her because she wanted someone with disability. I mean she didn't have a lot of problems in mind but when she met Ashley she didn't mind that she would need life long care. Which I found to be such a great thing that someone could be so open to taking care of a child with so many needs.
